What is The Word Made Fresh?
The Word Made Fresh is a theatrical show, written and performed by Dave Jenkins, which brings Biblical characters to life in a fresh way. the series reveals how a real God makes a difference to the lives of real people.
Each of the 13 monologues, inspired by the Biblical text, is linked together with comical and entertaining narration, helping you follow the Bible story through.
In 2008 Dave Jenkins and Urban Saints took the Word Made Fresh tour to churches around the United Kingdom. These videos were filmed at Luton Christian Fellowship.

“Finding drama scripts that are engaging, relevant and work well with a British congregation is very difficult. Let's face it, we have a fairly unique sense of humour and we don't like everything coated with a thick layer of cheese! I think these dramas are a superb example of excellent sketch writing while truly understanding the audience they are aimed at. Many of these dramas are very funny but they are also full of truth and do a great job of preparing people to hear the Biblical perspective on life and how God truly wants us to live.
There is a great variety of sketches here for many different occasions. What I love about Dave's writing is the way he can disarm a defensive audience by letting seekers know it is possible to laugh in Church!
It is about time these sketches were made available to a wider audience, so look through them, buy a few and start to use them!
